Papertrey Ink Photo Project Challenge

Today I'm joining in the PTI Photo Project Challenge.  My niece and her two children visited for a week and we had a wonderful time!  I made everyone an album for photos, journaling spots and mementos like tickets.

I used Papertrey Ink's Journaling Traveler's Journal dies;  Doodle Map and Die sets;  and Doodle Waves and die sets.

Papertrey Ink Packaging Challenge

Today I'm joining Papertrey Ink's "Packaginge" challenge.  The spool on the left has PTI's dotted and plain ribbons in Aqua Mist.  The spools on the right and left secure my ribbons and trims with twine and PTI's buttons in aqua mist and pink blush.

I've given out a few like this and just added a personalized tag to the buttoned twine before tying a bow.

Comparison of Tonic and PTI Gingerbread house roofs

I was asked if the Tonic gingerbread house roof die would fit the Papertrey Ink tiny town gingerbread house roof.  First I placed the tonic roof pieces to the left and PTI scallop roof die  to the right to compare.  Then I placed the Tonic solid roof die over the PTI roof die.  The Tonic  roof is larger, but I think it could be used.  It would have to be trimmed a bit  lengthwise.  I wouldn't trim the width because it would ruin the look.

Papertrey Ink Assembly Line Card Challenge

Today I'm joining the Papertrey Ink Monday Challenge.  I used the PTI Gingerbread Miss die set and printed the Merry Christmas sentiment from my computer.  I wanted to give her a "baby," so I placed a gingerbread man button in her hand.

I have many  sets cut out for my "assembly line" cards.

Tonic Gingergread House Die, My creations

I recently bought the Tonic Gingerbread House die from Amazon.  I love it!  It wasn't the most difficult die set I've ever worked but die clean-up takes a bit of time.  If you decide to get it, I suggest you watch the Tonic Studios video on YouTube.  It will make it simpler.  Another hint:  If you close it from the bottom, don't cut the entire side flap off as shown in the video.  Leave about 1/3" of the flap and glue it down.  It looks neater.  This won't be as confusing if you the video.

Sizzix Tim Holtz Manor Houses

Wow!  This Manor top is a bit of a challenge, mainly where you have to curve the very top piece.  The rest is a cinch.  I made three in varying colors.

Papertrey Ink Gingerbread Miss & Mister

I bought this set of Gingerbread man and woman dies from Papertrey Ink.  I cut the bodies from kraft colored cardstock and added the other elements.  Since these are stitch dies, the holes showed so I cut a solid white piece to back the dies cuts.  It looks somewhat like stitching.

I will be making felt versions soon.

Papertrey Ink Tiny Town "Gingerbread House"

I Love my new Tiny Town Gingerbread House die set from Papertrey Ink!   It does have many tiny pieces, but they add such delightful details to the house.  The pink was my first and I improved on the front entrance with the blue.  I wish the camera picked up on some of the other elements, like the scalloped roof.

I made these to be treat boxes.

Papertrey Ink Post and Parcel Make it Market kit - Creations

I love my new kit!  The best thing is it's functional for any season, reason or event!  Mailboxes, gift card holders, and greeting cards are just the beginning.  The stamps and dies are easy to use too.

Papertrey Ink Blog Hop.... October 25, 2016

Today I'm joining the PTI Blog Hop.  We were encouraged to use weathered wood and fall elements such as Pumpkins in our creations.  This is my card:
Supplies:  Papertrey Ink A2 card die, and "Spooky Smiles" Joyful Moments die and stamp set (pumpkins and curly swirls).  I also used Gina Marie Trees and Leaves dies.  Paper was embossed with a Hobby Lobby wood folder and I used distress inks on the wood and pumpkins.

Sakura "Stardust" Gel Pens - Review

A little over a month ago I bought two sets of the Stardust gel pens.  I used them once and stored them.  Today I attempted to use them and all but one pen worked!  It's too late for me to get a refund, but please realize that these pens clog up easily and become useless within a few days..  Mine were stored in a cool place with tops on of course.  Check out my YouTube videos!  I also am Meriscrapper13 on YouTube.

Today I'm joining in with Papertrey Ink's blog hop.  We were challenged to use green and darker, more natural colors shown on a project.

I wanted to make a winter season card for a male friend  The "Hello" is from PTI's "Swoosh" die and leaves are from PTI in a die set.   The tiny cardinal is from the Make it Market Christmas kit.  Additional dies are from Gina Marie Designs (lantern and candle).

I made two versions:   dark red and light red

The sentiment:  "Something About You Seems Familiar."

Flip Flops and Roses Design Shop....Scam Artist Alert! www.flipflopsandrosesdesign.com

I ordered five items from the owner of this shop.  Five days later I emailed her to ask when they might be mailed and that's the only time I learned that she didn't have them in stock!  Since I wanted the items I waited until the next week when she said they would be mailed.

She sent me a shipment email which indicated that the items had not been mailed.....and that was for four additional days!

When I finally got my order, four out of five items were wrong.

I ordered the gold tone pendants and she sent silver.  Even the receipt included shows the item number do not match.  The Spellbinders website had the silver for $3.99.  I paid her $9.99 each for gold.  I also ordered a gold tone heart locket.  I received the silver.  The fact that she took money for items she didn't have, then substituted them for cheaper items.

Obviously, a bait and switch game.

Buyer Beware!

Papertrey Ink Make it Monday Challenge

Today I'm joining in on the Papertrey Ink challenge to create something using sentiment strips.  I made "Love You" note cards using the Papertrey Ink Make It Market "Don't Forget to Write" note card frame and card dies.   I typed the sentiment on my computer, cutting the strip to fit in the corner.  The sentiment is grounded by  the bird and branch die cuts.
