Cameo and Muslin Keepsake Book

 My latest craft project is this covered book, made with inexpensive muslin, lace trim and an inexpensive resin cameo that I found on Ebay.

The inside has the same trim and a pocket on each side.

What to put in the pockets?  Maybe a vintage French label printed on muslin and some glassine envelopes, also with antique ephemera.

"Paris Nights" Mini Album

 I recently completed this "Paris Nights" mini album.   It has many pages with vintage Paris ads and ephemera.  There's lots of space for photos and journaling.

You can't have a French theme without Fleur De lis.   This fence page reminds me of the ironwork in New Orleans.

This paper had a few pages of vintage French ads!  I found one that says "Cafe-Concert."   I placed it on this banner cut-out, on top of a page with musical notes.

Another pocket page with French ads and ephemera.  I left some of the journeling tags in the pocket for this photo.

I was really happy with the way this page turned out.  Pin stripes with a French banner and a little journeling booklet. 

Cream colors, simple page, but elegant.

All of the pages of this album have pockets.  I removed the photo and journeling tags so you can see the contrast.

My Shabby Chic Craft Clipboard

I found a really funky, old clipboard in the Thrift Store for 10 cents and decided to alter it using only things I had at hand.  I painted the entire clipboard with left-over paint.  I glued a pretty piece of scrap paper on the board.   Then I hot-glued lots of flowers and added a key.  I enjoyed adding the stuff so much that I had to remind myself to keep the clip area clear so I could use it.

It  hangs over my craft desk with my craft "to do" list.  Now, if I can only follow my list without being distracted by other ideas!

My Shabby Chic "Craft Journal"

 I decided to make a "Craft Journal" so I can keep all my ideas and techniques in one place.  My Journal will also help me keep track of ideas  I've learned from other bloggers and on YouTube.

Made with inexpensive materials.  Ribbon from the Dollar Tree, muslin fabric ($1 yard), and items at hand.


I actually did not want flowers on the front cover but I made some boo boo's and had to cover them with the flowers.

I got this pretty stick pin and dangle charm from a swap, and decided to use them here.  The pin holds my ribbon on my muslin cover.

I made a pocket page and decided to use tags that I received from swaps.  I'll write a subject on the front of the tag and info on the back

Pocket on the reverse side holds more tags.  I've added more pages for photos, notes, and scrap items.

Mini Album and Shabby Chic Bag

 I just finished up this Mini Album and Shabby Chic gift bag.  The album has six pages in all, and is made to hold photos, tags and momentos.  I printed the front of the gift bag on muslin with an Art Noveau image.   

     

This is a photo of the back of the cover and page 2 of the mini.  There are places to slip in small photos, tags and journaling cards.

Page 4 is a photo mat and Page 5 has a slip area for photos, tags and journaling card.

My Vintage Shabby Chic Journal

I decided to try my hand at making a  Journal so I can keep a good record of my flowers and plants.   I took the cover off a book from the thrift store and covered it with a pretty gardening scene from The Graphics Fairy.  

Then I made lots of pages and bound them using my "Bind-it-all."  So now I have lots of room to recount the trials and tribulations of my gardening efforts. 

I have plain journaling pages to write my gardening advertures and misadventures.

Pages for Photos and Momentos of my gardening (I use that term lightly).

A page with pockets to slip in those information tags that come with plants.  It didn't turn out well, but it's for gardening.  Nature isn't perfect either, it's just prettier!  ;=)
