A Thrift Store Bedroom
Everything in this photo came from Thrift Stores.
I love my vintage Ethan Allen rocking chair ($39) : I think the details on my almost-new Lane cedar chest are lovely ($89): The framed photo above fits in perfectly ($1.50); and the goose was the first item I bought after Hurricane Katrina landed me in Kansas (like Dorothy). It was only $1.

Antique French Children's Book, New Bottle and Ribbon
(click on any photo to see a better view)
The book has the loveliest illustrations, circa 1920's. Each page has just a touch of natural aging.
Isn't this sweet? The little girl's clothing and dolly are styles from the 1920's.
There are even songs. I can remember one of my Cajun French aunts telling us to "fais dodo," when we were visiting and it was bedtime. I'm not sure if it has the same meaning with true French.
A perfect time capsule, although children are the same today.
~~~~Thank You for visiting~~~~~
Amazing Thrift Store Find - Laces and Trims
I made a stop by my local Thrift Store recently and found a big bag of laces and trims. There was no price, so I asked and the lady told me.....Seventy-Five Cents!! It was one of those moments when you're not quite sure you heard it right, but she repeated it (probably because I looked like a deer facing the headlights of a car).
The delicate lace to the left is one of my favorites. Very vintage and art deco. The lace that's second to the right has Eight Yards!
Some have shiny threads. The majority are white and cream.
I will be putting packets or spools of these in Giveaways!
So, if you love lace and trim.....check back. I'll definitely be placing many in my future Giveaways!
Thrift Store Finds for $1 or less!
I was thrilled to find this Toile fabric in perfect condition, 3 yards.....for 50 cents!! Plus the following great deals.
This basket was used, and I bought it for $1.00. I plan to paint and alter it a bit.
~~~~PLUS it also included
Two Terra Cotta Pots. They just need a bit of cleaning.
These photos show what I bought for 75 cents. A bag full of wood eggs and pieces to alter, plus lace, some little rosettes,
~~~~~AND~~~~~
A little Apothecary Jar
