I LOVE the Haunted Mansion in DisneyWorld, so this Halloween I decided to try my hand at making something like it. This is another of the unfinished wood book boxes that you can get at Hobby Lobby. I painted it black and added gold paint in dabs to give it a spooky look (don't know why I decided gold would be spooky). I found these great lenticular stickers in Michaels and was able to get the spooky side of the "painting". When you look at it straight on, it's just a vintage-looking portrait of a man. I'm still working on it. My nephew and his wife are visiting from Wichita, so they might choose the things to put on the box. I'm making it for them.
