Altered Wooden Spools for Ribbon & Trim

I found these wooden spools at Hancock Fabrics, at a clearance price of 40-50 Cents each.  They looked awful, the wood was cracked and old looking.  Each had fabric strips or odd fibers, and most of the strips were also in bad condition, very frayed and faded.

I painted the spools and found multiple labels through Google.
